- Additional Information: Johnny Walker Black 12 is frequently rated as one of the best blends on the market, and a good deal at its price point. A great entry into peated Scotch. JW Black contains 30+ whiskies in its blend, with a high percentage of malts including Caol Ila, Talisker, Lagavulin, and Cardhu.

- Nose: Soft peat smoke with a backbone of leather, tobacco, pecan candy, and cereal grains. Notes of raisins and toffee.
- Palate: Rich, round, and full-bodied with generous forward smoke, leather, and tobacco. Strong malt flavors, with a soft grain whiskey background. Strong toffee and pecan mid-swallow.
- Finish: Long and silky, with a sweetishness that is not cloying. Warm, rich mouthfeel, and a long afterglow of pecan turtle candy and caramel notes, and that luxurious smoke. Complex and superbly balanced.
